Stats & Damage Algorithm v0.2.2
You can use this sheet to help figure what your character might look like with certain stats that you had in mind. Do keep in mind that this spreadsheet converts Ranks into Values. In the actual game, Values will be converted into the closest corresponding Ranks for a better visual feel and to get a basic idea of how a player stacks against the norm.
You can download the file here. (link)
First thing you want to do is fill out the stats for the Attacker and the Defender. These are the following values that you should edit.
Level
The current level of the combatant. Input a number from 1 to 100.
Basic Stats
The Basic Stats that pretty much determine most of your character. Fill in these stats using a ranking (E, D, C, B, A, and EX) and a modifier (+,-,++,--).
To input a ++ or --, type '-- or '++ as the values.
- Rank E: This stat is a serious weakness that you must be careful to employ.
- Rank D: You are generally at a disadvantage with this stat.
- Rank C: You are the average of the entire population. You neither stand out or are deficient in this.
- Rank B: You are above average regarding this stat.
- Rank A: You are excel at this stat, an ideal for anyone to aim for.
- Rank EX: You are beyond the scale of this system and approach the realm of the gods.
Note: -- and ++ are pretty much only to be used for Ranks E and A, respectively. The former is to show something abysmally low, and the latter is to show something bordering on (but not quite) EX rank.
Stuff that actually works
- Strength: Determines attack power by increasing the effectiveness of melee weapons.
- Endurance: Determines how much HP you have. The amount of base Endurance (without modifiers) will determine nearly all of your HP. Your total Endurance will determine how much TP you have. It also helps determine how effective your armor is.
- Dexterity: Determines your hit rate by scaling it with your weapon's accuracy.
- Speed: Determines how well you can evade enemies.
- Circuits: Determines how much MP you have at your disposal.
- HP: Hit Points. How much damage you can receive before you are rendered combat ineffective.
- MP: Magic Points. How much Prana/Od/whatever you have left at your disposal to cast spells.
- TP: Tech Points. How much muscle strength and vitality you have left to perform techniques.
- Attack Power: A raw rating of your physical attack prowess.
- Attack Hit Rate: The base chance of you hitting something with your weapon.
- Armor Rating: A raw rating of how effective your armor is.
- Evasion: Chance that you will evade an enemy attack.
Note: While Hit Rate is solely based on your abilities, Evasion is not, and it will change depending on your opponent's level.
Equipment
- Weapon Attack: Rank refers to weapon for damage purposes.
- Weapon Accuracy: Refers to the base accuracy of the weapon in the hands of an average person.
- Armor: Rank refers to armor for defense purposes.
Other Factors
- Def Position: Values are "Front","Middle", and "Back", from most vulnerable to least vulnerable, for the Defender.
- Critical Hit: Specifies whether to calculate as a critical hit.
